for those who are up for wasting time on YouTube, a slightly different route this time...
http://www.youtube.com/user/crunksvillefest
Sign in (same password as usual about our fav hobbit), and fav the suitable fest vids for quick access and viewing!
Same as last year, the intent is obviously to find ones that ARE on an outdoor stage, or at least passable as one, the least shaky (bonus points if it's professionally shot!), and with the clearest audio (usually better audio comes with vids filmed outdoors anyway, so in some ways we have an advantage here). If no suitable outdoor vids, consider something like a coffee shop (see the one I already favved in the account), as we can assume there are tie-in coffee-shop/bar shows to go with the fest for some artists who may be more of that kind of performer anyway (or claim they did a main show on a main stage, and then a small coffee-shop/bar one on one of the other days for maximum musical fun?). Also, if you can't choose just one, then pick 2 for some variety in performance! (1 uptempo + 1 slower, that kind of deal)
...guess the only downside to the YouTube route is the fact that we can't label who is who with each band, so we'll still have to list those here, I guess. So mine are as follows:
Real Performer - Cville Performer Family Force 5 - Cyberpit Dance Squad (feat: Picasso, Dillon, Troy, Axinite, Bixbite, and a random dancey guy. Band name totally ripped from Rock Band cause it made me laugh so much) Switchfoot - SeventhAge (feat: Will and Jeremiah) Hedley - I Love Lamp (feat: Nate, and friends Mike, Steve, and Jeff) Liam Styles Chang - Jason Hsing, sans band (though perhaps they play on a stage?) House of Heroes - m!Crunk lead singing some nameless group of dudes Kalan Porter - David (duh) Paramore feat. John Mayer - Gyp and Paul (the pairing is not logical, but the vid exists so why not! ...is he even still around Crunksville??) Starfield - Meed, Jon, and Kellen in a still nameless band
